The method
Made for the job, not just the mock-up.
Direct-to-film (DTF) printing lays the artwork onto a specialist transfer film, adds a powdered adhesive, then applies the finished transfer to the garment with controlled heat and pressure.
Because the print includes an opaque white base, it can reproduce detailed logos, gradients and many colours on light or dark cotton, polyester and blended garments without a separate screen for each colour.

Check the garment
We confirm the fabric, colour and chosen position are suitable for a heat-applied transfer.

Prepare the artwork
The design is sized, colour-checked and arranged for the selected print area.

Approve the layout
You see the intended scale and placement before production.

Print and press
The transfer is printed, adhesive is applied, and the artwork is pressed onto the garment.
Before you order
What to know
- DTF has a light, flexible surface feel rather than the texture of embroidery or the fibres of the garment itself.
- Some waterproof, coated or heat-sensitive fabrics need a different decoration method.
- Wash garments inside out at a low temperature and avoid direct high heat on the print.
